Got a sweet tooth? Meee too!! Since I began making regular visits to Mississippi Gulf Coast after marrying Nick, I have had the pleasure of eating all sorts of treats from Dolce Bakeshop, and you know I will be running there to get every cupcake I can get my hands on when I can have dairy again!
Brooke Rester had been baking for friends and family for years before she decided to take on baking full-time and that decision could not have come from a sweeter place. In 2013, Brooke and her husband, adopted a baby girl. Brooke knew baking would give her the opportunity to stay home with her little one, so, she jumped into the game full-time and has never looked back.
After baking out of her home for three years, Brooke teamed up with a few other bakers, and opened a co-op in Picayune, MS in 2016. Within a year they had outgrown the space. Between the water calling Brooke back to coast and needing more room to bake, the Rester family packed up and moved to Long Beach.
You can find Brooke, doing what she loves, at Dolce Bakeshop on Third St., where her and her team provide custom cakes and cookies, gourmet cupcakes, macarons, homemade marshmallows, ice cream, and more! You can also find Brooke inspiring others to follow their dreams, including her husband, whose knack for cooking turned into Dolce Café. , where you can get coffee, tea, pastries, breakfast, and lunch just a few miles down the road in Gulfport.
