Ohhh my goodness!!! Guys, I am blogging my very first wedding! Can you believe it? If you had asked me when I bought my first camera what I planned on doing with it, never in a million years would I have said wedding photography. Yet, here I am living my dream and I am so excited to share this experience with you!
In true spirit of being completely and totally transparent with you guys, I was sooo nervous for Nick and Kristin's wedding. First, because it was my first wedding, EVER, and second, because the Virginia Beach Funk Fest Beach Party was happening just a couple blocks away. I had no idea what to expect, or if I was even going to have a clear path on the beach to take their portraits, so I showed up over an hour and a half early to scout locations and ease my nerves.
After searching for the perfect spot for what seemed like forever, I finally made my way to the meeting location to get my gear ready for the first look. And although I was the most nervous I think I've ever been, when Nick walked up, my nerves suddenly melted away. I knew that even though this was a big day in my photography career, it was an even bigger day in Nick and Kristin's lives.
As the afternoon went on, my heart was filled with joy! I got to witness a beautiful day for some amazing people and was reassured that photography is really what I am meant to be doing. I can't wait to capture more wedding days, but for now I am just going to squeal as I share these images with you!
